Mission Statement

The mission of the East New York Urban Youth Corps (ENYUYC) is to promote and facilitate neighborhood-controlled revitalization, growth, and development in East New York, Brooklyn.

ENYUYC adopts a comprehensive approach to community development, that reflects an acknowledgement of the intricate relationships among housing, education, culture, employment, youth development, health and buildings have been transformed into quality affordable housing, the worst open-air drug markets have been shut down, gardens have been planted and new businesses have opened.

With sophiscated strategies in housing and economic development, combined with the power of youth action and community organizing, ENYUYC and community partner are leading the transformation of East New York.

The Urban Youth Corps aspries to the following values:

Leadership - Providing guidance and direction for our youth and their families

Empowerment - Facilitating the creation of self-sustaining structures that promote entrepreneurship and activism.

Advocacy - Assisting the often-ignored voices of our community to be heard and respected.

Partnership - Collaborating with other organizations, agencies, and businesses to improve quality of life.

Integrity - Remaining steadfast in our morality and ethics.

Commitment - A pledge to our community to provide a lasting presence in East New York
